2. Rules and Regulations

First of all, thanks for logging in. So, here's the deal:

- I'm taking off for a couple of months of impulsive traveling and should be back in New York in the spring. Meanwhile, I'm going to miss you. Yes, YOU. You haven't been very good at keeping in touch in the past and/or I won't have a lot of access to the internet, so let's make this as simple as possible. Here's a blog, you all have the log-in info for this account and are all welcome to post. I'll occasionally write from the road and hope you're compelled to write from wherever you are and let me know what's up.

- The log-in info for this blogger account will be emailed to all of those who are invited to write. If for x or y reason you did not receive an invitation but would like to participate, please send me an email at rojosofia@gmail.com - I've probably forgotten you in a moment of senility or didn't think you cared and will be pleasantly surprised.

- The only thing I ask is that you sign your posts, so I know who to remember fondly, and that you keep posts succinct, not too personal and interesting for others besides you and me. This is just so we can all enjoy logging on. If you want to write me a long-ass email, tell me everything that's wrong with your life, spill the beans on who's fucking who and speculate on the meaning of life, just do it through my email account rojosofia@gmail.com and I promise to read, care and reply promptly. News, links, confessions, tall tales, photos and videos are all welcome.

- This is a BILINGUAL blog. I'm writing all this shit in English only because the Spanish speakers in my life are hyper-evolved beings that can understand both languages. If I or anyone else wants to write in Spanish or share content in Spanish, POR FAVOR, feel free to do it! Gringos will just have to google translate, buy Rosetta Stone or start dating a Spanish-speaker.

- Finally, just a note on the blog title. Operación Pajarito is the name my dad has given my trip, saying I'm like a bird flying away from its cage. Paticaliente, the account name and link to the page refers to a Puerto Rican slang term that means "hot-legged", referring to someone that's always on-the-go. In this case I'm not the only paticaliente blogging, I know most of you keep very busy, are constantly doing/reading/watching/discussing interesting things and are restless explorers of your city.

PLEASE, keep me updated, I think you're pretty fantastic and will sorely miss being in the loop.

besos!
Sofía
