El internet por acá es absurdamente caro pero me asomo por esta ventanita para anunciarles que estoy viva, gozando, y acumulando historias para hacerles luego. En esta islita kafkiana (como me la describió un amigo cubano hace unos días) tengo un apartamentito chulo en el medio de El Vedado con una cama grande, salita y de todo así que el que se antoje y quiera venir a visitarme está más que bienvenido. Les anticipo que hay mañanas en las que me despiertan los vecinos con Marc Anthony y noches en las que se aparece la cubanada juvenil y nos quedamos hasta las tantas bebiendo ron y hablando... además la decoración ofrece un buen balance entre retratos de Fidel y Raúl y retratos de Jesucristo y la última cena! It's not to be missed!!

Internet here is absurdly expensive but I'm just peering into this window to let you all know that I'm alive, having a grand ole' time and accumulating stories to tell you later. In this Kafkian island (like it was described to me by a Cuban friend some days ago) I have a little apartment in the middle of El Vedado with a big bed, a living room and a little bit of everything so whoever feels like joining me is more than welcome. I'll let you know up from that there's mornings in which the neighbors wake me up with Marc Anthony and nights in which the Cuban youth storms in and stays up through the night drinking rum and spinning yarn... plus, the decoration achieves the perfect balance between portraits of Fidel and Raúl and portraits of Jesus Christ and the Last Supper. It is not to be missed!!
